Yahoo Autos --
If you’re shopping for a new car, several attractive manufacturer lease and finance deals as well as a couple great cash-back offers are available in the month of July to help make it easier to get into a new car this summer.

To help move inventory off the lots, manufacturers typically offer promotional deals in the form of cash back (that can help increase your down payment) or low financing rates for a defined term. Meanwhile, particular leasing deals typically offer a combination of low down payment and low monthly payment for a nice short term to keep your out-of-pocket expenses minimal.

Look carefully before you sign a lease agreement. If you do a lot of driving you might want to think twice before leasing - purchasing may be a better option for you. A 25,000 mile agreement comes out to 68 mile/day for the year. Along with the lower monthly payments comes lower usage of the car and going over the agreement mileage can be very costly. Remember: At the end of the lease you will likely walk away with "bupkis" and you will still probably need a car.

Buy, and buy for the long-term. No reason that a good car can't last at least 10 years, with appropriate maintenance.

We're shopping. Our lease runs out at the end of August. There is actually some equity in the buy out vs market price - a 2008 Honda CRV.

The lease has never made any sense to me unless it's being written off as a business expense.

the best leasing deals are "Not leasing and just buy". Unless you can deduct the lease for buisness reasons.

Leasing sucks. Buy new, keep it maintained properly, and run it for at least 150k miles.

I think it's a typo on the milage per year. Probably should be miles during lease term or 10 to 12k miles per year.
